This is the top of what remains of Ballaghmore Castle, Borris-in-Ossary, Co. Laois. This was built in 1480 and partially destroyed in 1647. in 1836 it was partially restored buy Mr. Ely who found a hoard of gold on the land. It was further restored in 1990.
